1. Australian War Memorial

This museum is located at the zenith of ANZAC Parade in Canberra.

Housed inside this massive sandstone structure, which is topped by a gleaming copper sheathed dome, are rare photographs, art work and important records – all of which relate to war. These stellar exhibits help people, especially Australians, to decipher, appreciate and remember the everlasting impact of war on Australian society.

2. National Gallery of Australia

The National Gallery of Australia is located along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. This world class art gallery was established in 1967, opened its doors to the general public in 1982. National Gallery of Australia which houses over 1, 66,000 works of art has the unique distinction of being one of the largest art galleries in the Australian continent. Mount Ainslie (2766 ft) is located in the northeastern suburbs of Canberra, just behind the Australian War Memorial. At the base of this majestic mountain lies the Remembrance Nature Park.
